Isn’t it funny how three words can make you feel? Those three little words that all of us wish that our forever person would say to us. The three words that can mend a broken heart or encourage a new found love. These words are not meant to be said unmeaningful and they are definitely not meant to be said without full intent.
Three little words that give us the “butterflies in the stomach” feeling.
Three words that we hopeless romantics yearn to hear often.
One evening I’m on my way home from work and I call Cowboy to let him know that I’m stopping at the grocery store to pick up a few things. Speaking of grocery stores… he actually thought that he could do better with the shopping than I could, but that’s another story.
Anyhoo, we chat about our day and other things that couples chat about.
ME: (Ending the conversation) I’ll be home in an hour.
COWBOY: Ok. Bye.
ME: Whoa whoa whoa. Are you forgetting to say something?
COWBOY: Like what?
ME: Like something that involves three words?
COWBOY: Nope, I’m good.
ME: Hey!
COWBOY: Oh yeah, I almost forgot. What’s for dinner?
ME: WHAT’S FOR DINNER? Those are the three words that you think I want to hear?
COWBOY: I don’t know about the three words you’re talking about but I’m hungry.
ME: I’m done with this conversation.
COWBOY: So?
ME: So WHAT?
COWBOY: (Chuckling) What’s for dinner?
ME: Bye weirdo.
And that pretty much sums it up on the daily with this man. Lord help me.
