Here’s a quick conversation between Cowboy and myself that I thought ya’ll would get a laugh from.
One evening after tirelessly shopping for my perfect pair of cheetah print shoes, I pulled into the carport and I spot Cowboy sitting on the front porch. We have the typical “Texas” front porch. The kind of porch that is as long as our house, with cedar posts and ceiling fans. I love everything about it except for the iron rocking chairs. I dislike them greatly. It only takes a hot second for my bum to go numb while sitting in them.
Anyhoo, Cowboy is becoming one with his friend Crown (and seven) and he has a look of concentration on his face (not to be confused with constipation) ha! I watched him for a bit longer and decided that since he seemed to be pondering deep thoughts, this was the perfect time to interrupt him.
I casually walk over to him, kiss him on the cheek and sit in the uncomfortable rocker next to him. And we rock…and rock..and rock until I can’t take the silence any longer (two minutes later).
ME: Hey, how was your day? Did you get everything done you had planned on? How long have you been sitting out here?
Why do I always ask him questions in threes? I should probably say that I’ll work on that but since I’m positive that it annoys him, I’ll continue to do it.
COWBOY: Which question would you like me to answer first?
ME: All of them.
COWBOY: My day was good. Yes I got all of my chores done and thought I would enjoy the peace and quiet.
…and then you came home.
ME: Pfft! RUDE!
’til next Sunday y’all- 𝔁𝓸, 𝓣𝓪𝓶𝓶𝔂 ❥
