Those that know me know that I’m not a chef. When I first moved to Pidcoke my sweet neighbor, Lori brought me a cookbook and said “You’ll need this”. I guess she knew that I can only make 7 things. I’ve always been very proud of those 7 things, made from scratch I might add. Seven days in a week, seven recipes. Need I say more? I also tell people that I’m not a gardner. I can grow monkey grass and kids. Beautiful, amazing, big hearted kids!
So last week I thought I would be adventurous and I picked up a new plant while I was shopping for a new recipe. This is the conversation I had with my sweet and sometimes too honest cowboy:
COWBOY: Need help unloading your car?
ME: Yes, Im exited to try this new recipe!
COWBOY: You bought a plant? I thought you only shopped at Lowe’s for plants so you can take them back after you kill them.
ME: Ok cowboy, let’s try to be positive!
HOURS LATER…
ME: How did you like the new recipe?
COWBOY: You’re still at number 7 but keep trying.
ME: Ugh!!!
’til next Sunday y’all- Tammy
