Living in Pidcoke has taught me there’s no such thing as a “quick trip” to town. Mainly because we travel on a dirt road and several paved ones to get to the nearest store. Then there’s our cows, lots of them; big ones and cute little baby ones. You see, cows do not get off the road just because you’re in a hurry to get to town. Cows are not concerned with our need to pick up milk, bread or perhaps, even a a new pair of cheetah print shoes or even a bag of M&M’s…yum!
Cows do one of four things; eat, sleep, moo and poop! So, as I’m driving down our dirt road kicking up dust, weaving through the herd of cattle and their cow poop, I’m reminded of a conversation I had with a car wash attendant. He said to me, “You really have a lot of mud on not only your tires but your entire car!” I said to him, “Oh, that’s not mud, that’s cow poop!” He politely replied, “You might need to do a double wash. Perhaps you might think about getting our unlimited wash package. You might even want to buy a truck.” I thought to myself, “Ha!Ha! Can you just picture that…me in a truck! Funny!
’til next Sunday y’all- Tammy
