Who would of thought that thirty three years later Cowboy and I would still be celebrating love ๐
Holy smokes that’s a lot of days with this dude. I can’t believe I talked myself out of all of those eye-pokins. Which, by the way, he totally deserved. All of those times when I wanted to hit him over the head with something rather large, like a cast iron skillet. Seriously y’all, this is ginormous! I thought I’d never get rid of the bruises on my knees from all of the praying that I partook in. At times it was exhausting and there’s only so much concealer that I wanted to invest in. Heehee.
All kidding aside, being married to Cowboy has been pretty easy. Every couple has their ups and downs but as long as you listen to one another and keep the lines of communication open, it all works.
Every year, Cowboy and I (and Maggie) take a jeep ride to Storm’s in Lampasas to get a burger. Maggie loves their tater tots and I love their burgers. Yumm.
ME: (Talking to Cowboy) Don’t forget we’re going for our anniversary jeep ride this weekend.
COWBOY: I got it. I got it.
This weekend:
COWBOY: (Talking to me while I’m tying the laces on my cheetah print tennis shoes for our jeep ride). What are you getting ready for?
See? We’ve got this down pat. No wonder we’ve lasted 33 years.

P.S. On the upside, I’ve gotten to look at Cowboy wearing his Wranglers for 12,045 days๐
