Just the title alone makes you a tad bit curious, doesn’t it? Well get your mind out of the gutter y’all because this post is totally “G” rated.
I needed to finish some CE’s (continuing education) for my medical aesthetics license. For those of you readers that have never met me, blogging (writing) is a passion of mine but it does not “bring home the bacon”. My other passion is skincare and my real job is a Medspa owner. A good friend of mine gave me a small framed quote that reads: “I will make everyone feel beautiful, that will be my job”. That quote is so perfect because that is exactly how I feel. I am very fortunate to say that I LOVE what I do! I am truly blessed to have the honor of helping ladies with their skincare and am even more blessed to call them my friends. I love every single one of them!
Back to Sin City
Once a year Las Vegas plays host to our International Esthetics Congress so this was going to be the perfect time to go. I could kill two birds with one stone. Btw, who came up with that saying? Can that really be done?
Ok, back to the story…
I could get my CE’s completed AND spend some alone time with Cowboy in Vegas! I decided right then…this trip was gonna happen! All I needed to do was to let Cowboy think that it was his idea.
ME: (expecting some resistance) I really need to get my CE’s finished, how about we go to Vegas next month?
COWBOY: What does Vegas have to do with your continuing education?
ME: The International Esthetics Congress is there next month. While I’m in class, you can gamble or people watch (that’s another story).
COWBOY: Okay, sounds good.
ME: Seriously? I don’t have to convince you that it was your idea?
COWBOY: Nope. And I just make you think that you’re convincing me.
ME: Umm humm whatever you say Cowboy. I’m glad you agreed because I already made our reservations AND we’re seeing a show. AND as much as I paid for those show tickets, you better NOT fall asleep.
COWBOY: I can’t make any promises on that.
After a full day of learning new techniques and meeting fellow aestheticians I met up with Cowboy for dinner. We each ordered steak and shrimp. Holy Jesus, that was the biggest honkin steak I’ve ever seen and it tasted oh sooo good. We finished our meal just in time to make it to the show around 10:00 PM.
ME: You have to stay awake during the whole thing.
After the show was over-
ME: How did you like it? Wasn’t it amazing?
COWBOY: It was good, but there were some parts I couldn’t hear.
ME: Really? We were pretty close to front. Was the person next to you talking?
COWBOY: No, the person with her head on my shoulder was snoring.
’til next Sunday y’all- Tammy
