I LOVE to travel.
When they came up with the phrase “Have bags, will travel” they were truly thinking of me. I love going to different countries, meeting new people and experiencing their culture. My passport is full of many stamps and many wonderful memories.
Have you ever wanted to pick a random day, go to the airport with only your wallet, passport and your cheetah print overnight bag and choose a destination?
No plans, no itineraries just hop on a plane and go! Shop when you get there for clothes, book a hotel once you land and eat at local mom & pop cafes because they look interesting. SPONTANEOUS TRAVEL
Everyone should one day do it…including me; it would be paradise!
As much as I love to travel, Cowboy does not! His paradise is from one fence post to another on our 100 acres. He has traveled many times BT (before Tammy). He says there’s not one single place he wants to see. He likes it just where he is. Soon after I married him I realized; Houston we have a problem! This Cowboy really doesn’t like to travel. I asked him “You don’t WANT to travel OR you don’t LIKE to travel?” he said both. What is that all about? What kind of person doesn’t like to travel and how did I end up marrying him?
I then realized the importance of a travel buddy. Sometimes it would be one of my many girlfriends, Cowboy’s family or my family. I have so many memories of my nieces and nephews. So many fun times skiing, shopping, concerts, floating down the river; I just adore them!
And thankfully God gave me Laney and Regan (my two beautiful, kind children) and Kasey (Regan’s beautiful wife and my perfect daughter in law). I would always tell them that the world is full of memories waiting to happen. I think I could totally rock the whole “gypsy” thing !
As the kids grew, Cowboy knew he would be required to travel with us on our family trips. Being in the family travel photo is an important thing that this mama takes very seriously. Although I do remember Cowboy asking if he could be photoshopped in. Funny guy.
As much as I wanted to travel and see the world, I also wanted Cowboy to be happy and he was happiest when he was at home on 4G. So with my cheetah print travel bags, I began to cross the cattleguard.
I hope you travel with me in spirit and Enjoy my memories- Tammy
Travel pictures to come!
